I dragged my mom all the way to Korean Village in Ampang to go to Oh Jun Hair Salon. I came across their ad in Cleo mag and made a little research online. There was a lot of positive feedbacks, which made the place seems promising. And the result was great, really! I'll be coming here for haircuts from now on. Goodbye Cut and Above.
It was easy locating the place (with the help of GPS) but no, really, its easy. So as we arrived, we were greeted with 'Hi, annyeonghasehyo!' by one of the hairstylist (Natasya) and the receptionist who I'm not sure what her nationality is coz she doesn't seem to understand English well (when telling her my phone number to make reservation, everytime I said triple 6, she said 346. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.) but yeah anyway, the place was not bad. It wasn't super small and stuffy nor is it big. Just nice. There was 3 hairstylist, Oh Jun, Natasya and Nikky. All 3 of them are Korean. I was seated right away and Oh Jun assisted me. I told him that I want to get an ombre, and he send me to his colourist, Nikky. So I showed her some photos of ombre hair. She then told me about what colour she's gonna use, coz it has to match my skin.
The whole bleaching (3 times) and dyeing took about.. 5 hours. Oh that includes the 20 min hair treatment and cutting and dry blowing. I was starving -_- But good thing there was Nikky. She's really friendly and fun to talk to. We talked about Korea and all, coz I told her that I'll be going there on the 22nd Dec and asked her whats the best place to shop there and BAM! All the info about shopping places was written down in my Tablet, lol. She almost gave me a heart attack too. After the dyeing and dry blowing, she cut my hair. She grabbed the non bleached part of my hair, hold it up, and CUT like 4 inches of my hair. I saw everything, and my jaw dropped.
"Close your eyes... and your mouth too! Lol," she said.
Before I could cry, I saw the result. It came out great, really. My hair doesn't seem so dull anymore, theres volume to it. I'll probably be going there again next week. Need to get a hair treatment. Everything cost me RM700++ (cost my mom, actually. Thank you mommy :3) I didn't really get the ombre I wanted, coz that would require a lot more bleaching, and Nikky said that my hair was really damaged (I had a perm a month before, and it ruined my hair) so she didn't recommend bleaching the whole bottom part of the hair. But it is still an ombre, just a bit different from what I originally wanted.
Oh, Nikky and Natasya both gave me a Korean name! (Coz my name, Shaz, is just too hard for them). Its... *drumroll*... 수지 (Su Ji)! It's a bit like the Miss A's Suzy, I guess. Oh and Nikky even added me on Kakaotalk :D
I would totally post the photo of my hair, but my data connection is just damn slow and WiFi is still missing. So maybe some other time then ^^
뿅!
